Azure VMware Solution (AVS) is a Microsoft Azure service that allows organizations to run VMware workloads natively on Azure infrastructure. It provides an integrated VMware environment with familiar technologies such as vSphere, vCenter Server, vSAN, and NSX, while enabling organizations to take advantage of Azure services and capabilities.
You will learn how to plan and deploy AVS private clouds, configure networking and security, integrate identity services, connect on-premises VMware environments to Azure, migrate VMware workloads, and monitor AVS environments.
Basic VMware knowledge is recommended. Familiarity with vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, VMware networking, and storage will help participants get the most from the hands-on exercises. Azure administration knowledge is also beneficial.
Yes. AVS can support organizations migrating VMware workloads to Azure. The workshop covers migration planning and technologies such as VMware HCX, including workload mobility, network extension, migration, and post-migration validation.
The workshop is suitable for VMware administrators, Azure administrators, cloud and infrastructure engineers, architects, virtualization professionals, network engineers, and IT professionals involved in hybrid cloud deployments or VMware-to-Azure migration projects.
